Mommy Daughter Preschool Day & Father Son Camp Out

Brooklyn had a mommy/daughter tea party at her preschool.  It was also an art show.  We had so much fun and it was so delightful to be with Brooklyn.  She is a little firecracker and has a flare for the dramatic.  She also loves to perform and is the class clown of the family.  Her opera face is hilarious and she can memorize any pop song in 2.5 seconds.  She is a little mother who sees a need and fulfills it without being asked.  Her teacher told me she loved to pull a chair next to her at the sink and help her wash the snack time dishes.  (wish she'd do that one at home.)  But seriously, Brooklyn is a fantastic helper and my wonderful one and only little girl.

This is Brooklyn with her class.

This is (from left to right) a drawing of me, her answers to questions about me, and a photo of brooklyn.  The questions were hilarious because she said I weigh 100 pounds (maybe when I was ten), she said my favorite thing to eat was macaroni and cheese (a staple at lunch time), and she said her favorite place to go with me was Paris (we make weekly trips).

Brooklyn's artwork inspired by real artists past and present.

She got a blue ribbon for her watercolor flower and yes there is a tear in my eye.

She calls this one "fantastic dots."

Our yummy cookie snacks.

As an activity, together we made this bird from playdough.

Father Son Camp Out time!  Todd sleeps in the van to avoid the uncomfortable ground and Dylan like watching movies but after this trip Todd's back wasn't loving the van either.

At breakfast, stealing sausages.

Todd trying to get Bishop to steal sausages too.

Dylan's favorite meal of the day.

You can tell how they slept based on their faces. Rough night huh?

Just the boys.

Fish on!

Dylan and Dad hiking in the woods.

He's looking so grown up.

My guys.  Wow Dylan does really have dark eyes.  Another fun time hanging out with Dad,

& on a side note....meet Camille.  Todd brought home yet another critter he found while out for a run.  She was super cute but we let her free in our mini lake.
