Graduation Day!

Brooklyn loved preschool.  Every time we would go she would beg to go inside and then cry when we had to leave.  She wanted to go to school so badly. All the teachers knew her because she was so outgoing and acted like she owned the place.
Dylan outside his classroom door.  Sorry for the dark pictures, my camera was on the wrong setting.  Oops!
This was one of Dylan's best friends.  His name is Thomas and this is one of the funniest pictures ever.
Here Thomas is, looking a little more like a five year old and a little less like he wants to eat Dylan.
A fun lunch following the ceremony.  Grandma Smith picked our table because it was covered in dinosaurs...good call.  It was extra special to have Grandma Smith there to celebrate his big moment.
Dylan does this funny yawn thing when he gets embarrassed, anxious, or insecure about all the attention he's getting by being on a stage.  He would do all the right hand movements to all the songs they performed but he would yawn throughout.  Sometimes his eyes would water because he's just not comfortable having other people he doesn't know watch him.
This was Dylan's fifteen minutes of preschool fame.  He was the chosen one who got to slide Jonah into the whale.  If you look closely you can see his little baby fingers on the top of the poster.
Dylan's class acted out the Jonah and the whale story.  He did a great job and loved standing next to Rylee.
She and Dylan are great friends, can you tell?

I have to be honest, I was hoping for little hats with tassels but Dylan putting Jonah in the whale was a surprise highlight.  Dylan still doesn't understand what graduation means, he was just happy not to have to go to school anymore.  He loved preschool but was ready for playtime all the time.  It was a good experience for me to get my toes wet, and even better for Dylan to gain some confidence all on his own.

Seriously, you are SO photogenic! I know there was just one little tiny photo of you there, but I just had to say it...

Graduation day was kind of a bummer for me. I don't like this whole growing up thing. I squish Anna every day so she doesn't grow (hasn't started working yet:( )
