Gold, Shamrocks, and Edible Rainbows

We had a little Leprechaun visit our house this St. Patrick's day.
We made rainbow cupcakes.
That actually worked. We also ate a green dinner.
We set a trap to catch a Leprechaun. The trap was set up inside because he would have "no place to go, and we'd catch him for sure." We made it look like a rainbow so he would get confused and leave his gold under our rainbow instead of his own.
Dylan made this sign to trick the little man into walking straight into our trap. It reads, "All Leprechauns Welcome." Completely Dylan's idea.
This was the little candies we thought the Leprechaun might like.
The Leprechaun was way too sneaky for us and stole all the candy. He left a trail to the back door.
He left a pot of gold (the kids had already gotten to it by this point) and he wrote really tiny because he is so small.

That tricky little Leprechan! Such a cute idea. I need to pass along something my friend did this year...it was absolutely darling and your kids would love it! Go to my blog sidebar and click on Johnson Family...go to her smilebox for the Leprechan hat! You'll love it!

Such silly things we do that make our days less mundane and our kids happy. Ryan calls St. Patricks a "fake" holiday. He just thinks I go a bit nuts- but, it breaks up the routine I tell him!

Your kids look darling as always.
