I think this was Todd's favorite spot. We'll miss some of these awesome eateries!
The leaning tower of treasure to eat.
A Kentucky staple.
Yummy salads!
For our last night in Kentucky as a family we got the crazy idea to run around town collecting food from all of our favorite places. We could dedicate an entire blog to our love of food and restaurant date nights. Thanks to Grandma Smith for the encouragement, we toasted you at the dinner table and laughed when we went to Ramses because of Dylan's experience there.
So here was our itinerary:
1. Pie from the Pie Kitchen (lots of good memories of the raspberry thing and dancing to the juke box songs.
2. The house salad with warm bacon and mustard dressing and croissants at Rafferty's
3. The Shaking Beef, garlic Noodles and Green Papaya salad at Basa (one of our favorites)
4. The Chicken Bastilla at Ramses Cafe on the World (Dylan learned a little too much about the world here. There was a picture of a statue bust in the menu and Dylan noticed that she was not exactly dressed.)
5. The goat filled dates wrapped in bacon and the shredded pork tacos from Mojitos
6. McDonald Happy Meals for the kiddos (per their request)
There is no shortage of amazing food to be had in Louisville Kentucky. Our very favorite place (we've only been there once because it's a bit pricey) is 610 Magnolia. We are also avid watchers of Top Chef and always thought that the chef at 610 Magnolia had to be just as good as any of the TV chefs out there. Well, it turns out we were right! The chef is up for a James Beard award this year and we hope he wins!
Todd and I will have to do another blog entry about the other fabulous and not so fabulous eating establishments in Kentucky so stay tuned!
All in all, we had way too much food but we ate as much as we could and remembered some really fun times!

YUM! I LOVE BACON! and you add the honey mustard dressing and it might as well be called Heaven on a plate! Great idea going to all those restaurants!
So much food. So little time. Ha, ha....the best thing about all those places is the memories we've made spending time together and enjoying great food and conversation. You must expand your list to include Martini's and that cool Barbeque place we went. Good times!!
