Sea World (a.k.a. my world with my sea loving kids)

A fearless mermaid in the making.
This was my favorite part as a kid and is still my favorite.  Now the dolphins are Brooklyn's favorite too!
It might sound lame but after all these years seeing Shamu in person is just as exciting and amazing as it was for me when I was little.
Todd trying to make the kids remember what they had for lunch.
"I love Kung Fooooo"
One handsome hubby.
Of course Brooklyn wanted to feed the bat rays the fish heads but our future deep sea explorer wanted nothing to do with them.  I have to say, they made me pretty nervous because you can't see their mouths when you are trying to feed them.  But feeding bat rays is definitely on my cool things I've gotten to do list.
Grandma making sure Dylan picks out just the right bat ray that he and Grandpa saw earlier.  Dylan is currently obsessed with stuffed animals.  When i asked him why he said it was because they don't hurt your feet when you leave them on the floor and step on them.  That just goes to show what our floors are usually covered in.  Dylan also tries to tell the person buying what Brooklyn wants which is actually his second favorite stuffed animal and he's trying to weasel two for one.  Watch out or he'll pull a fast one on ya.
While watching the Killer whale (Shamu) show Brooklyn clapped along even though her hands barely reach over her head.  She was so enthralled in the whole performance until about half way through when we caught her crying.  When we asked her why she was sad she said "You won't let me swim with the whales!"  Unfortunately for her, we did have to play the mean parent card and forbid her from jumping in the tank...maybe when she turns four.
Thanks for my bat ray.  (And yes, it's a bat ray a version of the sting ray...get it wrong and your answer to my 5 year old who likes to get specific.)
Oh happy day!

I have a future "deep sea explorer" and a killer whale trainer on my hands so what a better way to help them further their future careers than spend a day at Sea World.  Grandma and Grandpa Fergie took us all around Southern California but this was our first stop and we had a wet and wild time!
