Alright, since we were out of town for the middle of October we wanted to wait until we got back to get pumpkins. This turned out to be a good and bad idea. Bad because there were very slim pick'ins, good because the pumpkin patch had pumpkins for a buck each. We found all the best ones we could and ended up with almost twenty (9 of which I actually gutted.)
Parker isn't sure what's going on...then again, I'm not sure Logan knows either. lol.
Now it's time to start carving. This year we decided Dylan was big enough to carve it himself with his own carving kit. He took this very seriously. He was so meticulous, it was amazing!
Happy with their pumpkins. Dylan's is the Jack pumpkin, a family favorite.
Here is Todd's masterpiece. It really was awesome. The thin pieces of pumpkin were amazing. It can't believe he didn't cut through some of the teeth.
Jack in the dark.
Brooklyn did the bat cat with Dad. and Logan's was the Dracula which looked perfect from a distance because it was so big and so clear.
Parker enjoying the haunted festivities.
Dylan in his school parade. It was so fun!
A perfectly erie evening for trick-or-treating!
Logan decided he wanted to brush off one of our play costumes and be a purple dragon. Dylan wanted to disappear in the night like a ninja.
This was our front door step. We made it look super spooky.
Brooklyn at her school party.
Her teacher actually looks like snow white. Brooklyn loooooves her! She actually kind of has that snow white voice too. Some people were just built to teach little ones and she is one of them. Her name is Mrs. Thompson and she told me that she and Brooklyn have a special bond. I guess throughout the day Brooklyn will go up to Mrs. Thompson and whisper things in her ear. So funny and so Brooklyn.
For our ward trunk-or-treat we were all pirates again. We couldn't let all the sewing go to waste. Isn't Halloween over yet?
Dylan and his friend Jack. They are good buddies at Church and apparently shipmates too.
Alright, back to trick-or-treating. This guy lives in our neighborhood and was the coolest viking ever! Awesome.
Time to check out the loot.
Decorating cookies!
Yay for cookies and candy and treats, oh my. After trick-or-treating like a hundred times, I'm actually ready to move on to November. What an amazing October, best ever!

What an amazing October is right!! I think your Jack-o-Lanterns were spooktacular. Loved the pirate costures, too. Thanks for posting these wonderful pictures, Amy. Makes me feel like I was there!
