This gives you a peak into a day in the life with Brooklyn. She looooovvves horses. I'm not sure if it's because of some inherited trait from my older sister or because we live in Kentucky. But she loves anything to do with horses. She picked the "girl" horse she wanted to ride and she wanted the girls to lead her horse. Dylan's was the "boy" horse and she wanted nothing to do with it. I honestly don't know where she comes from.
This is what Dylan looked like on his horse. He would NOT break a smile. He was stone cold and stiff the entire ride. We think he was trying to play it cool. He says it's his "quiet face." But we would really like him to know he's aloud to look like he's enjoying it. :) Because afterwards he thought it was so fun.
Brooklyn feeling like the coolest kid in the world.
Me and my little horsey riders. And then there's Logan just staring, mouth open because of the weight of his lips.
This was Brooklyn waiting for her turn. She forced Dylan to go first so that she could get the horse she wanted. And Dylan was too cool to have a favorite.
Brooklyn with her typical dirty knees.
Waiting in line at the pony rides. Todd took pictures of one of the more mature riders who looked like she was hurting the horse but I'm not posting it. Just word to the wise. If your an adult, pony rides are not for you.
Fishing for prizes. This was Dylan's favorite activity of the day. Fishing mixed with toys, what could be better. It was a really cool thing, and you can see the orange fish that jumps out and bites the line...how clever. That's taking the ward carnival fishing booth to a whole new level!
Brooklyn was a little less successful with the fishing pole.
Hay castle sweet kiddos.
Brooklyn telling us she can't wait to go to the ponies one more minute!
Todd assisting Brooklyn to the top of the hay castle.
Dylan preferred to call it a hay fort. Much more manly.
Todd helping the less coordinated Logan manage his was through a see of tall grass.
Dylan tried so hard to get Logan to smile. here he is tickling Logan's neck and he's trying so hard to get Logan to cooperate for me that he forgets that I wanted him to smile too.
Finally Logan gets tickled by some grass.
Has anyone seen where to go to find some pumpkins?
On Guard!
Dylan and his new fury friend.
Little did he know how sticky these guys actually are.
Now Dylan is starting to freak out.
Get it off! Please!
Let's all have a look. Notice that I am still at a safe distance.
I'm not sure what Brooklyn thinks of this thing. She is used to the worms in the backyard that have no fur. Everyday, she asks if she can go outside to check on her wormies.
This is Brooklyn doing who knows what. If you know her, this is pretty typical of how she acts.
She starts off just talking about something she wants to tell you as loud as she can.
Then she gets silly and makes herself laugh. Then, if you play off of her silliness she thinks it's the funniest thing ever! Then she wants the comedy sketch back in her control. She tries more to make everyone laugh. And then she's exhausted.
She thinks she's one of the funniest people in the world.
Here she goes again.
One last pose. That a girl!
Dylan's favorite thing to do was to hunt for creepies and crawlies and to point out the pumpkins that had rotted with bugs living inside them. All I have to say is ewe, gross!

What a fun day. The series of Dylan with the caterpillar made me laugh. He's so cute. Ditto Brooklyn and Logan. What fun kiddos!! (And fun mommy and daddy, too..:+}
