Waterfront Park

This is the water park at the edge of the Ohio river near downtown Louisville.  I thought Logan would cry and be scared and cold but as you can see he loved every minute.  After a few hours of playing I told the kids I thought it would rain and we had to pack up right now.  We hurried and threw towels on while quickly walking to the car.  Then, out of nowhere, a loud crash of thunder and a thick and heavy down poor of rain pounded us as we jumped into our van and drove home soaked to the bone.
She already has a "not cool, mom" face.
I don't know what I said but it must have been shocking.
here we go again.  Brooklyn calls this park the "bathtub" park.
Wish I knew what she was thinking.
Cute and knowingly naughty at the same time.
Wet baby.
Dylan is tall enough to squirt a few innocent moms.
About to blow.
Sweet and weird.
Danger.
He'll even pose for mom in the middle of his fun.
Silly face, long hair.
Just fun.
Oops, my flash got a pretty bright, even for this little starlet.
There's the stance.
As a baby when I asked about her crying tantrums the doctors said that it was 'just her personality'... now I understand.  Thirty pounds of sugar, spice, and everything attitude.
Dylan showing Logan where to crawl while Brooklyn was more concerned with her dancing poses.
Dylan teaching Logan how to splash.
After playing with his brother and sister he would retreat back to his safety zone otherwise known as my feet.
Playing the drums in the water.
Logan was just getting used to the fact that the ground beneath him was slippery, squishy, wet, and cold.
Dylan thinking Logan looks funny soaking wet.
He was so proud, happy, excited, and everything else that a kid should be.
Now he's really into it.
Pushing his limits and going through the tunnel of water spouts.
This is when he was just getting brave enough to run around with other kids and parents 'watching' him.
One tough ballerina!

On your way into downtown they have created a family-friendly area with playgrounds, lots of grassy areas and a waterfront park.  This was our first trip ever and it was awesome!

I can just hear the squeals of excitement and exploration. We love water fun in the summertime.
